CHARLES GARDET PRESTIGE BRUT CHAMPAGNE 2005 AC, France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer GARDET
Assessed from a just-purchased bottle at the LCBO. Very bright light yellow colour. Attractive, intense, rather toasty, complex, apple-lemon meringue nose with some buttery brioche notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, very slightly spicy, intense, mouthfilling, apple-lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, very bright, still surprisingly fresh, buttery, brioche finish with a harmonious, gently complex, fairly high acid, finish. Delicious, well balanced and ready-to-drink, this blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir has 12% alcohol and 7.3g/L residual sugar with lot number 50 C 1290A on the lower part of the glass bottle and NM-187-001 on the back label. It was tiraged on May 5, 2006 and disgorged mid-July 2020 meaning that it had some 14 years on the lees. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 14645
