This outstanding 2012 surpasses the 2011 (***) with 92-points eleased on September 19, 2020 at $30.95. It has a deep intense ruby colour with a tight slightly ambering edge. Complex, mineral-driven, faintly herbal, intense, ripe, plum-red-pepper-dried-cherry nose with lots of cedary, sandalwood notes. Very dry, medium-full bodied, extracty, dense, minerally, tangy, red-cherry-driven, plum tomato flavours with a lingering, grippy, still youthful, high acid, cedar-chestnut finish. It is now 9-years-old and there are still lots of youthful tannins present. This blend of 65% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo and Graciano with 13.5% alcohol with a healthy 6.5 g/L total acidity (lot number L-0812 on the back label. It was aged for 3 years in American oak barrels (225 l) and is unfiltered. CSPC 692780
