TAVEL 2020 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU D'AQUÉRIA
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright light reddish colour. Intense, slightly spicy, ripe, red-apple-plum nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, tangy, slightly spicy, ripe apple-plum flavours with a lingering, bright, fresh, still youthful, frais de bois finish. Versatile - would work well with salmon and roast chicken. The entire Southern Rhone commune of Tavel is dedicated 100% to Rosé - no reds or whites. Last year’s Tavel was a blend of 52% Grenache Noir with 12% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre, 9% Clairette, 9% Cinsault, 5% Bourboulenc and 2% Picpoul. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LT1005 on the back label. CSPC 319368
