PINOT NOIR 2016 Sustainable, Martinborough, North Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LUNA ESTATE
Another NEW in Vintages Pinot Noir, this time from New Zealand’s prime Martinborough region. What a beauty this is - a perfectly ripe, well balanced, cool climate rendition that simply seduces you with harmonious, ripe, plummy-black-cherry purée flavours with just a touch of raspberry-cranberry fruit followed up by lifted lingering, faintly herbal notes that carry on nicely to the gently complex, cedar-tinged finish. I ask, what more could you want for $26.95? By far, the best value Pinot Noir I have tasted this year. It has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 17544
