Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LUC BELAIRE
Another 649 case REPEAT of the popular, non-vintage LUC BELAIRE that was last released on November 14, 2020 at $39.95. Unable to get a bottle for assessment from agent. Here is my previous note: Bright medium straw colour. Very spicy, sweet apple pie nose with some toasty notes. Sweet, medium to medium-light bodied, somewhat soft, spicy, apple purée flavours with a straightforward finish that has modest effervescence. This pricey sparkler is made in the economical Charmat method - not the traditional Champagne method. It has 12.5% alcohol and according to the LCBO website now 42 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 632356

TASTING NOTE: This is luxe indeed, with its sleek and chic opaque white bottle emblazoned with gold lettering that's guaranteed to appeal to the young and fabulous. Weighing in at 37 grams of sugar per litre, this sweet sparkler reminds me of a bellini - delicious, with peach, yellow apple and white cherry flavours. But it's not all frivolous fun: zippy acidity has a firm grasp, ensuring the sublime does not tumble to the ridiculous.
