CUVÉE TRADITION 2018 AP Costières de Nîmes
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MAS DES BRESSADES
One of my highlights of the Apriil 17 release, this is the 9th vintage to appear at the LCBO from this reliable producer and once again it hits the spot. Extremely deep intense purple colour, the nose is intense and quite complex with lots of ripe plummy, black cherry tinged, faintly smoky, herb-tinged, mocha-chocolate notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, very well structured, slightly spicy, intense, bright, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a long, lingering, harmonious finish. Wonderful mouthfeel! This apparently unoaked new blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah has 14.5% alcohol and 3.8 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 143099

A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: This blend of Grenache and Syrah creates a supple wine with a ripeness that gives the fruit a pleasing sweetness. It's plush and rich, with generous dark fruit, spice and smoke alongside a characterful garrigue note. A wine for grilled fare, and one that will drink well to 2024+. Price $ 17.95
