Acquired in 1995 by the Bayle-Carreau, this 15 hc Côtes de Bourg estate has been totally restored and all the vineyards replanted. The wine is reasonably priced and have gained wide recognition for consistent high quality. This 2016 blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep intense purple colour and an attractive, ripe, plum-cherry nose with some slightly spicy, gentle cedar notes. It is dry, medium bodied and well structured with harmonious, ripe, Damson plum-cherry flavours and a lingering, mineral-tinged finish with rounded tannins and a hint of cassis. Quite ready-to-drink, it has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L0716 on the back label. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 18535
