CALINVERNO ROSSO 2015 IGT Rosso Veronese
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONTE ZOVO
Here is a surprisingly tasty late-harvest blend of 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% vineyard blend all of which are dried for 25-30 days before fermentation. Deep intense purple-red colour with a faint amber-tinged rim. Intense, complex, spicy, warm, essence of warm ripe plum nose with some earthy sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, dense, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, somewhat earthy, fairly high acid finish. Aged for 24 months in barrique and tonneaux it has 15% alcohol, 9 g/L residual sugar and 5.8 g/L total acidity with lot number L24720 on the back label.
