Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU DE TRÉVIAC
A REPEAT of the recommended 2017 (**/**+) which was released back on January 11, 2020 at $17.95. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Attractive, spicy, slightly baked, ripe plum, black cherry nose with some sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, fairly intense, ripe, cherry-plum flavours with a tangy, lingering, sandalwood-licorice-tinged finish. This tasty blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah has 14.5% alcohol and now 4 g/L residual sugar. The lot number on ths new batch is L2020 09/28. CSPC 670505

TASTING NOTE: A full-bodied blend of Syrah and Grenache, Treviac's 2017 Corbières features spice-tinged notes of blueberries and cherries on the nose. The palate is ripe and creamy in texture, admirably concentrated yet easy to drink, while the fruit picks up more savory notes of mocha and black olives on the lingering finish. At the SRP of $20, this is a solid value for drinking over the next 2-3 years. Drink date: 2020-2023. Score - 90 (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, June 30, 2020) Price $ 18.95
