Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Cave de Roqebrun
The Pays d’Oc can deliver remarkably enjoyable easy-drinking reds that are very gentle on the pocket book. This one, made by talented winemaker Alain Rogier, is an award winning unfiltered blend of carbonic macerated Syrah which was married with traditionally fermented Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot - all in stainless steel. The result is an aromatic red with pure ripe Damson plum, cherry and black currant fruit along with a touch of minerality. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, fresh, bright, plummy-cherry flavours with a crisp, lingering, harmonious finish that shows decent structure. This versatile crowd-pleaser is prefect for Easter and has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L20-38B on the upper part of the glass bottle. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 18149
