BRUT CRÉMANT D'ALSACE Traditional method, AC Alsace, France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer WOLFBERGER
Unable to get a bottle for assessment from the agent. A REPEAT of that last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on September 29, 2018 at $19.95 and was Recommended. Here is my previous note: Very bright pale straw colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-melon-apple nose with some mineral notes. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, attractive, very slightly spicy, fresh ripe lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, very effervescent finish. Quite ready to drink. Has 12.5% alcohol and now 10 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17/321 on the back label. CSPC 460832

TASTING NOTE: Straw color. Bright, fruity, creamy aromas of green apple pastry, peaches in cream, and lemon chiffon with a supple, tangy, finely carbonated, dry-yet-fruity medium body and an effortless, amusing, medium-long white nuts, lime-pineapple sorbet, and minerals finish with no oak. A refreshing, tangy sparkling wine that will shine at the table. Exceptional. Score - 94 (tastings.com, Nov. 25, 2015) Price $ 19.95
