JOVE BRUT CAVA Traditional method, DO, Spain
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FAMÍLIA OLIVEDA
Unable to get a bottle for assessment from the agent. A REPEAT of the recommended JOVE BRUT CAVA (**+) that was released on July 20, 2019 at $15.95. Here is my previous note: Bight pale straw colour. Very attractive, slightly spicy, fresh ripe apple-melon purée nose with some floral, gently complex, toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, honeyed, slightly spicy, attractive, ripe, apple-lemon-melon purée flavours with a lingering, gently complex, faintly toasty, finish. This ready-to-drink blend of Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada is ready-to-drink. Has 11.5% alcohol and 11 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.19.11 on the back label. CSPC 647883

TASTING NOTE: Cava is always a place to look for value, but this item is particularly noteworthy, offering good complexity, structure and intensity for $16, while maintaining typical Cava flavours. Expect fairly generous, green olive, pistachio and spiced pear aromas, narrowing to firm lime and nut on the palate. Great acidity and fine mousse here. The length is excellent.
