Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MO╦T & CHANDON
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This 2012 promises to be the best RosÚ Champagne of the year. Bright medium salmon pink colour. Attractive, intense, mineral-tinged, slightly spicy, ripe plum and fraises des bois nose with some complex toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, very slightly spicy, ripe, plummy-strawberry flavours with a lingering, gently complex, faintly toasty, mineral-tinged finish. It has excellent effervescence comes in an attractive gift box - perfect for Valentines day. This refined blend of 42% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 23% Meunier has 12.5% alcohol and a dosage of 5 g/L with lot number 10/2018 LALL8 on the back label. The recommended 2012 (***/***+) was last released on December 7, 2019 at $97.95. I strongly suggest that you buy it today as it will quickly disappear. CSPC 69831
