CHÂTEAU L'EGLISE D'ARMENS 2016 AC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This exceptional 2016 Grand Cru Saint-Emilion offers fans lots of structure, ripeness and complexity. Deep intense purple colour, the nose shows an abundance of intense, ripe but still restrained, Damson plum fruit with some hints of cassis and great minerally complexity with a touch of oak.Very dry, medium-full bodied, youthful and quite extracty with plum-blackberry fruit and great mouthfeel and lingering, fairly high acid, very gently cedary finish. Decant if you want to drink it now - preferably with a rib steak. Keep in mind that this blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc will be much better with additional aging. - up to 10 years. It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L0317SE3 on the back label. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 18140
