GOVERNO ALL'USO ROSSO 2017 IGT Toscana
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BERNARDESCHI
This REPEAT was assessed from a new bottle purchased at the LCBO. Fairly deep intense purple colour. Spicy, fresh, ripe, plum-cherry-strawberry purée nose with some faint sandalwood notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, quite juicy, fresh, ripe plum-cherry purée flavours with a fairly tangy, bright, rounded finish. A pleasant, ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser. This blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and 15 g/L residual sugar with new lot number L2026. Very similar to the 2017 (**/**+) that was released on February 8, 2020 at $19.95. Of course, you can safely ignore the Luca Maroni 97-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. CSPC 13519
