Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer RUFFINO
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Very deep intense purple colour. Complex, intense, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedar-vanilla-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, intense, tangy, still youthful, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary, mineral-tinged, fairly extracty finish. This NEW blend of 37% Sangiovese, 32% Merlot and 31% Cabernet Sauvignon has 14.5% alcohol and 2.2 g/L residual sugar (4 g/L at the LCBO) with lot number L19308 on the lower part of the glass bottle.
