Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
XAVIER VIGNON |
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. A consistent BEST BUY which has appearing in Vintages 14 times since 2012. Deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry purée nose with some gentle licorice-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum-cassis-raspberry flavours with a fairly crisp, lingering, sandalwood-licorice-tinged, harmonious finish. Quite ready-to-drink. This very tasty ORGANIC red has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LS2001029/1 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A REPEAT of the 2018 (not presented) that was released on March 7, 2020 at $17.95. |
