OLD TESTAMENT CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018 Coonawarra, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SISTER'S RUN
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. OK the buck stops here! By that I mean, here’s an inexpensive Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon that will give Cabs at two times the price a real run for the money. The recommended best 2017 (**+) with 89-points was released on April 18, 2020 at $17.95. Meanwhile, this 2018 is even better with 91.5-points. Bright deep purple colour. Attractive, intense, gently cedary, ripe black currant nose. Dry, medium-bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, intense, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary finish. This ready-to-drink, well balanced, crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L0192 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. For the money, you will have a tough time besting this! CSPC 478271

Spice, mahogany and white pepper notes linger on the finish. Drink now through 2031. Score - 91 (MaryAnn Worobiec, winespectator.com, Aug. 31, 2020) Price $ 17.95
