Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SKOURAS
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Here is a real crowd-pleasing, ripe, accessible, 100% Agiorgitiko which is nicknamed the \"Blood of Hercules\". It is one of the most important indigenous Greek varieties and can be found in almost every Greek cafe. This 2017 is the best on record! Medium deep violet-tinged purple colour. Slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry nose with some slight cedar notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very fresh, harmonious, warm Damson plum flavours with a lingering, tangy, vanilla-tinged finish. Versatile and ready-to-drink. Aged in previously used French oak for 12 months, it has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 162321

Concentrated and long, this will drink beautifully with lamb but will also evolve for another five years in your cellar. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2019) Price $ 18.95
