CABERNET/MERLOT 2017 VQA British Columbia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MONTE CREEK RANCH
Assessed from a bottle supplied by the winery. Very deep intense purple colour. Quite spicy, juicy, raspberry-cassis-crancherry nose with some cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, rather juicy, intense, spicy, sandalwood-tinged, tangy, very faintly peppery, ripe, plum-choke-cherry-cassis-raspberry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid (6.6 g/L) finish. This 2017 Cabernet Merlot is a blend of 69% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc with 14.4% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2016-B1-22018. Itís freshness can be attributed to the screwcap closure and it will hold. NEW in Vintages. CSPC 15770
