Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MARIE MARIA
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This 100% Tannat has a very deep intense purple colour. The nose was initially slightly restrained but soon opened up with intense, youthful, ripe plum fruit with food minerality. The still evolvin, intense, ripe plum flavours are bright, fresh and well structured. Itís dry and medium to medium-full bodied with a lingering, gently complex, faintly meaty, lingering, mineral-tinged finish that shows some hints of sandalwood, herbes de Provence and cedar. Excellent value and would be great with a rib steak, I think that the best is still yet to come. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 1L18291 on the back label.
