Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

SCHILD ESTATE |
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Now here is a terrific, extremely tasty, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing Barossa Shiraz that should not be missed. Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, gently smoky, rather juicy, plummy, ripe black cherry nose with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, gently spicy, smooth, intense, ripe, plummy, red and black cherry flavours with a lingering, very slightly smoky, cassis-driven, high acid, mocha-tinged finish. Matured for 18 months in French and American oak. Has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L190117 on the back label. Screwcap closure. |
