BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS CRÉMANT DE BOURGOGNE Traditional method, AC, Burgundy, France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CAVE DE LUGNY
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Crémant Brut Blanc de Blanc from Burgundy can offer great value. Bright pale straw colour. Slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe lemon-apple nose with some mineral notes. Rather dry, medium-light bodied, faintly spicy, zesty, lightish, clean, lemon-apple flavours with a fairly crisp, unoaked, minerally, rounded finish with good effervescence. Ready and easy-to-drink, this will please most especially at the price. Not quite as effervescent or complex as Champagne, this 100% Chardonnay has 11.5% alcohol and 13 g/L residual sugar with lot number 3L223201-13/05 09:29 on the upper part of the glass bottle.
