Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Fairly deep purple colour. Complex, cedar-tinged, ripe, minerally, plum-driven nose with some red licorice and sandalwood, notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, tangy, fairly dense, still somewhat tart, raspberry-plum-red-cherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, cedar-tinged, somewhat mineral driven finish. perfect with tomato-based sauces. This 100% Sangiovese has 14% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.24/20 on the capsule. |
