| Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. : Fairly deep purple colour. Spicy, bright, juicy, ripe plum-cherry-blueberry purée nose with some gently cedary and very faintly tropical notes. Dry, medium bodied, gently spicy, somewhat tangy, attractive, fairly juicy, ripe, plum-black-cherry-raspberry puree flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, slightly cedary finish. OK - it’s a real, easy-drinking, crowd-pleaser that goes with almost anything! This 40/60 blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo is fermented in stainless steel and matured in barrel for four months. This ultra modern take on Rioja has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1040 on the capsule. The 2017 (not presented) was released on April 13, 2019 at $18.95. |
