Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CA' MOMI
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Very deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, cedary, intense, ripe, warm, plummy, black cherry nose with some sandalwood-chocolate notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, smooth, spicy, intense, very ripe, plummy-black-cherry purée flavours with a lingering, faintly smoky, very slightly bitter, sandalwood-cedar finish. This well-made, faintly off-dry, crowd-pleaser is pretty much the antithesis stylistically to the two totally different Bordeaux I assessed earlier. This would work with bbq ribs - the Bordeaux would be a disaster! Has 13.5% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number L92701415N on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 470187
