VIOLETTE SPARKLING 2019 Charmat method, VQA Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer WESTCOTT
Assessed from a bottle provided by the winery. If you are looking for a frothy, fresh, tangy afternoon sparkling crowd-pleaser, this should hit the spot. Itís very fresh, spicy and faintly honeyed on the nose with attractive, fruity, ripe, apple-melon-citrus notes than carry over nicely on the palate. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, very bright and well-balanced with tangy lingering finish. This effervescent blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling is versatile and ready-to-drink with 12% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar. The 2017 (not presented) was released on April 13, 2019 at $25.95. CSPC 438200

TASTING NOTE: This is a very refreshing, pretty if simple young tank fermented sparkler with clean apple, citrus and vaguely floral aromas. It is light bodied very nicely balanced with brisk acidity and just a wisp of sweetness. The fruit hangs in with very good length. Good Value.
