Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Deep ruby purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, very complx, sandalwood-tinged, minerally, warm, ripe, mature, plummy, black cherry nose with some hints of cassis. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, intense, ripe Damson plum jam with some cassis and a touch of licorice and garrigue. Great with game - venison or lamb with a reduced wild mushroom sauce. This mouthfilling, maturing, intense, harmonious blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre with 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1905046 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: Juicy and ripe, featuring layers of plum, red currant and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors, lined liberally with sage, bay leaf and tobacco hints. Reveals a flash of brick dust on the finish, which shows good minerally cut. Very solid, with a pleasant old-school hint. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2030.
