DOMAINE DE LA PLAIGNE |
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright fairly deep violet-red colour. Attractive, fairly juicy, bright, ripe, crancherry nose with some mineral-tinged, gamey, fraise de bois notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, tangy, fresh, red cherry and fraise de bois flavours with a very crisp, unoaked, lingering, mineral-tinged finish. This classy, fresh, fragrant, crisp, 100%-old-vine-Gamay from Mouin-a-Vent (considered to be the best of Beaujolias' 10 designated cru) has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number LV62 on the lower part of the glass bottle. NEW in Vintages. |

Tasting Note: Some lightly earthy nuances with a bright array of red flowers and berries. The palate has a lithe and juicy core with a super succulent and deeply fresh finish. Drink now [to 2025+]. Score - 92. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Feb. 18, 2020) |
