Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer J. DENUZIÈRE
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. This special mirco-climate in the northern Rhone consists of only 920 hc. Deep violet dark red colour. Intense, complex, woodsy-gamey nose with lovely, fragrant, violet-tinged, lifted, ripe, black-cherry-plum-cassis fruit with some bright, fresh raspberry notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, complex, gently earthy, mouthfilling, intense, ripe, cassis-plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a long, lingering, dense, fairly high acid, gently cedary finish. This outstanding Denuziere Saint-Joseph is 100% Syrah with 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LO19233J16 on the lower part of the glass bottle.
