Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright medium-deep red colour. Slightly spicy, attractive, fresh, ripe plum-cherry nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, spicy, tangy, fresh, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Quite ready-to-drink, although it should hold well for another year or so. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and concrete tank, this wine went through secondary malolactic fermentation and was them split up - 35% staying in stainless steel and 65% into neutral oak barrels. This Vintages Essential has 12% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with 6.4g/L total acidity. Screwcap closure. CSPC 591313
