RIOJA GRAN RESERVA 2011 Labastida de Alava, DOCa Rioja

Very deep intense purple colour. Complex, intense, slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry nose with lots of sandalwood-cedar notes and hints of wild blueberry. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, dense, intense, maturing, ripe plum-cherry-sandalwood flavours with some dried cherry and red pimento notes on the long, lingering, still youthful, hefty, high acid, faintly smoky, licorice-chestnut-sandalwood-tinged finish. This Tempranillo with some Garnacha and Graciano has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L001 on the back label. CSPC 548040
