THE DOCTORS' ROSÉ 2018 Sustainable, Marlborough, South Island |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

Forrest Wines |
Unable to get a bottle for assessment from agent. A REPEAT of the recommended 2018 (**/**+) was released on July 6, 2019 at $19.95. Here is my previous note: Bright light pink colour. Very spicy, attractive, ripe plum-apple puree nose. Dry, medium-light bodied, spicy, attractive, ripe plum-apple-strawberry flavours with a crisp, faintly spritzy finish. Has 9.5% alcohol and 12 g/L residual sugar with lot number 8334 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: This is a unique, exciting blend of Pinot Noir with the aromatic white grape Arneis (which is native to Piedmont in Italy). You can expect it to suggest red fruit, citrus and herbs. Crisp, dry, and low in alcohol, this rosé is just about the perfect sipping wine, but it will have the structure to pair with barbecued chicken breast or grilled seafood. |
