Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer QUINTA DO ENCONTRO
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Extremely deep intense purple colour. Attractive, gently spicy, expansive, bright, ripe, plum-cherry purée nose with some mineral-tinged notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, intense, ripe, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, complex, very faintly smoky, gently cedary, still fairly grippy finish. This very tasty blend 40% Baga and 40% Touriga Nacional with 20% white Bicalt has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L28929E18 on the back label. CSPC 452755
