ROTARI PLATINUM LABEL BRUT TRENTODOC 2014 Traditional method, DOC, Trentino, Italy
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ROTARI
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright pale straw colour. Attractive, classy, mineral-tinged, very faintly spicy, floral, ripe lemon-apple-melon nose. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, very bright, effervescent, gently complex and yet still fresh, ripe apple-lemon flavours with a lingering, crisp, faintly toasty finish. This remarkably priced 2014 blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir was made in the Methode Classique with tiraged in April 2015. It has 12.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with 6.1 g/L total acidity. The disgorgement date (or SBOCCATURA in Italian) 2020LR0065 is on the back label (March 5th 2020). This means that the wine was on the lees for 59 months in the bottle you are holding before being corked. New at Vintages.
