ROSÉ 2019 IGP Pays d'Oc |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
L'OSTAL |
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright very pale salmon pink colour. Slightly spicy, bright, attractive, ripe, plum-apple-cherry nose with some mineral notes. Very dry, medium to medium-light bodied, tangy, very fresh, ripe, apple-lemon-plum flavours with a crisp, unoaked, slightly citrusy, raspberry-tinged finish. This vibrant blend of Syrah and Grenache has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with number LR019043D on the lower part of the glass bottle. This 2019 is the best to date! |

TASTING NOTE: \"Ostal\" means both ''house'' and ''family group'' in the ancient Occitan language, and here you can easily imagine that it refers to the marriage of the Grenache and Syrah at the heart of this rosé. Expect elegance and freshness in this wine, along with brightly outlined red fruit and citrus tones. A fine option for barbecued shrimp, grilled chicken or lamb kebabs. |
