Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Very deep intense purple ruby colour. Complex, spicy, attractive, ripe black cherry-blueberry pie nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, harmonious, well structured, intense, ripe, plummy, black cherry and cassis flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary, harmonious finish. Has 15% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L017WCR01 on the back label. Screwcap closure. Better than the recommended 2016 (**+) that was released on August 18, 2018 at $29.95.
