DESCENDANTS LIEGEOIS DUPONT LES GOSSES VINEYARD SYRAH 2014 Red Mountain, Yakima Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MARCEL DUPON
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. An extremely distinctive red that reminds me of a pungent, very cedary, Rioja Gran Reserva. Extremely deep dark intense purple colour. Extremely cedary, spicy, intense, complex, licorice-tinged, plum nose with some cedary, mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, dense, intense, spicy, baked plum flavours with a lingering, fairly high-acid, very cedary, mineral-tinged, slightly sweaty, sandalwood finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number WS20150727 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A total of 3,025 cases produced. It may well be a love it or hate it style - definitely not for everyone. CSPC 617761
