Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Medium deep violet red colour. Spicy, ripe, plum-crancherry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, fairly spicy, juicy, bright, ripe, plummy-cherry purée flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, faintly cedar-tinged finish. Ready-to-drink. This VINTAGES ESSENTIAL has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number 17128 on the back label and 20170316 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. The recommended 2015 (**+) was released on July 21, 2018 at $24.95. CSPC 229781
