RESERVA 2016 Vinho Regional Tejo
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BABU
A REPEAT of the recommended 2016 (**/**+) with 88-points that was released on October 13, 2018 at $13.95. Here is my previous note: Fairly deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, sandalwood-tinged, ripe, plum prune nose. Fairly dry, medium to medium-light bodied, quite juicy, fresh, plummy flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, slightly toasty finish. Ready-to-drink. This tasty, recently bottled batch is a wide-appeal, crowd-pleaser - it has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L8165 on the back label. CSPC 617175

TASTING NOTE: This firm and generous blend of Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet is powerful, with great black fruits and layers of firm tannins. Its structure and concentration are made for aging. Drink this wine from 2020. Score - 90 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 1, 2017) Price $ 13.95
