DOMINI 2015 DOP Douro |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
JOSÉ MARIA DA FONSECA |
Unable to taste due to LCBO cancellation of the April 4 media tasting. A REPEAT on the 2015 that last appeared in Vintages (**) on November 10, 2018 at $15.95 and was an Explorer Selection. Here is my previous note: Deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe plum-cherry-apple purée flavours with a crisp, very slightly cedary finish. This ready-to-drink blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 32% Tinta Roriz and 18% Touriga Francesa has 13% alcohol and 1.8 g/L residual sugar with lot number 8018-15D-8198A on the back label. |
