Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer RUFFINO
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Has a very faintly ambering edge with a deep red colour. Spicy, attractive, maturing, ripe plummy nose with some refined sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, gently tangy, ripe, attractive, plummy-cherry flavours with a crisp, bright, sandalwood-tinged finish. This much improved blend of 80% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese), 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19072 on the lower part of the glass bottle.
