Unable to taste due to LCBO cancellation of the April 4 media tasting. A REPEAT of the 2016 that last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on November 9, 2019 at $24.95. Here is my previous note: Very deep intense purple red colour. Gently cedary, slightly earthy, youthful, fairly intense, plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, fairly intense, gently complex, ripe, plum-red cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid, red licorice-tinged, faintly bitter finish. This blend of 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Needs time. |

TASTING NOTE: Quite fragrant blue flowers and plums lead to a very vibrant and plush palate that has approachable, smooth and polished tannin texture. Drink or hold. Score - 91 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Feb. 3, 2019) |
