This is one of 68 items (125 releases) that was not going to be presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Very deep intense purple colour. Quite cedary, spicy, intense, ripe, warm, plummy nose with some faintly earthy, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, intense, cedar-driven, baked ripe plum flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, very faintly bitter, sun dried tomato finish. This 14% alcohol blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo with lot number L9332 on the back label. The 2014 last appeared in Vintages (not presented) on May 25, 2019 at $20.95. TASTING NOTE: Olarra use a mix of grapes and purchased wine from Riojas Alta and Oriental to produce this cuvée of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano and Mazuelo.
