TASTING NOTE: A destemmed blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, the medium-bodied 2016 Pezenas L'Equilibre does indeed show a fine sense of balance. Cherry and garrigue notes come together in a moderately concentrated, tart wine with a dusty, authentic feel. Not too ripe or polished, just delicious and true to its terroir. Drink it over the next several years. Drink date: 2018-2021. Score - 90 (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Sept. 25, 2018) |
