Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FLAT ROCK
Medium-light straw colour. Very spicy, faintly honeyed, very ripe, apple nose with some some youthful leesy-toasty notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, spicy, honeyed, ripe apple-lemon purée flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, tangy, effervescence finish. Ready-to-drink. This appealing 11.5% alcohol blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir is made in the Charmat Method meaning that it was aged on lees in tank for over a month followed by a secondary fermentation also in tank and then bottled with a crown cap. It has 17 g/L residual sugar with lot number 20181025 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Has not appeared in Vintages before. CSPC 14421

TASTING NOTE: This is a blend of the three classic Champagne grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Fresh, with a bright, sharp acidity, this is quite fruit forward. The acidity here makes this pretty much a Swiss Army knife at the dinner table, perfect for everything from fish and poultry right up to serving as a palate cleanser between bites for heavier meat dishes.
