GOLD MONASTRELL/CABERNET SAUVIGNON/SYRAH 2017 DOP Jumilla |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
GORU |
A brand-new, tasty, ready-to-drink, slightly upscale blend from Jumilla’s Ego Bodegas. Very deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, crancherry nose with some faintly toasty, mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly juicy, slightly spicy, bright, ripe plummy-crancherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-C19303 on the back label. There are notes. details on the blend but it did spend 12 months in new French and American oak before going back into stainless steel. Has not appeared in Vintages before. |
