TASTING NOTE: The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Chateau La Grande Gardiole Vieilles Vignes is an unusual blend of 65% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 10% Cinsault, but it still tastes like Chateauneuf, offering hints of roses, tea and anise on the nose, then ripe black cherries on the full-bodied palate. It's bright and fresh on the silky finish, where more red fruits come into play. Drink date: 2019-2030. Score - 93 (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2018) Price $ 48.95
