Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer DOMAIN FOND MOIROUX
Fairly deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, fairly ripe, plum nose with some faint, mineral-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, fairly high acid, maturing but still firm, plum flavours with a lingering, very faintly bitter, herb-tinged finish. This senior citizen is still quite OK and offers an interesting array of flavours. Made from 100% Gamay, it has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Well priced and definitely worth trying! Has not appeared in Vintages before. CSPC 12029

Its pure line of fruit, now tempered by the hint of secondary flavors, means this wine is ready to drink. Score - 91 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, March 1, 2019) Price $ 18.95
