Very deep intense purple colour. Complex, spicy, intense, very ripe, black cherry and cassis fruit on the nose with some sandalwood-cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, intense, dense, ripe, red and black cherry fruit with plummy-cassis notes and a lingering, high acid, gently cedary, mouthfilling finish. Has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number 180817 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 91-points / BUY - Intense, spicy, black fruit nose with vanilla oak notes and a touch of dried herbs. Full-bodied, dry, savoury, bitter chocolate, cracked pepper and black plum flavours. Good length. Has not appeared in Vintages before. |
